Hi all. I have just found a document on the website of the Federel Public Service Commission of Pakistan, named ''Equivalence of Qualification for jobs''. This piece of paper specifies the equivalance of your degrees. It a 5 pages document and on page # 3 (Point # 25), it is clearly stated that B.Tech. (Hons.) is equivalent to B.Sc. Engineering degree. What i am going to do over here is that i am attaching a picture showing this equivalance and also mentioning the link where you can find this document for saving. I hope this document will make your minds clear regarding the equivalance and significance of B.Tech. program.

Mechanical Technology student's visits to Dawood Hercules Chemicals & Infinity Engineering
On 8th April 2010, 33 students of Mechnaical Technology along with 2 faculty members went to an industrial visit. The students were mainly from 2nd, 3rd and 4th year. The visits were arranged in order to give an opportunity to the students to watch for themselves the different machines and processes that are being carried out in the industrial sector of Pakistan. An exposure of the industry is mandatory for the technology students as far as their critical thinking and understanding towards real life and industry based problems is concerned. The visits were a huge success with the students and the industry. They have extended their arms towards the students of the Technology Department at the University of lahore to be a part of the training program that is been carried out in these industries, normally in the months of june and july. The significance of the technologists to these industries is of great importance and was ensured to them. Inshallah, in the near future, we will see Mechanical Technologists taking active parts in the development of these industries and hence for the prosperity of Pakistan. All we can do is to keep faith in these students.
